At BarkingBuds, we believe dog gear should be as strong and resilient as the bond you share with your pup. Our journey began with my own dog, Arči—a fearless explorer with an endless spirit for adventure. His energy and enthusiasm showed me, time and time again, that we needed gear tough enough to keep up.

Beyond being my best companion, Arči and I are also active in Search and Rescue. As an outdoor enthusiast, I quickly realized that most dog gear just didn’t hold up. Leashes would fray, collars would wear out, and after every adventure, everything was a mess. And let’s be honest—I’m not the kind of person who enjoys scrubbing muddy gear after every walk!

I searched everywhere for the perfect collar—something waterproof, durable, stylish, with a strong buckle an adjustable fit and some other tidbits as well. But nothing met my standards. That’s when the idea hit: why not create it myself?

And so, BarkingBuds – BioThane® Dog Gear was born. We set out to craft high-quality, waterproof gear that could stand up to the demands of active dogs like Arči—whether they’re on a search mission, hiking through the woods, training for sports, obedience, or just having fun at the park.
